"For the lost, for the found; For the ill, for the cured; For the things and no things" are a few ways that lo-fi producer and songwriter ๐ท๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ป ๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ. describes his new album, ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ก: A post-punk-driven, genre-focused, D.I.Y album. Amongst countless EPs, this is the first album release since 2015's HAPPYMADSAD under their younger alias, "Zero Cosby".
๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ก features eight audibly explosive tracks. All of which flaunts roaring basslines, haunting melodies, low-end guitar riffs, and distant drums that blanket lyrics questioning and or challenging the reality of everyday emotions.
"A clock sits on the wall, it lost its sense of time; He wonders where he's gone and how to get back; When all his faith is gone, he swallows all his pride, and listens to the faucet he calls his mind." [Lyrics from "Faucet" by ๐ท๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ป ๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ.]
"Beyond questionable fascination with the name, Samson is more of an internal voice with many tones and pitches, has no real identity, but deals with all my emotions and is able to communicate this through music. I also seem to always name things I get attached to Samson- I have like 3 things named Samson, it's nuts. I feel like I poured a lot of myself into this album and have grown to call it a personal survival guide, so to name it this felt right. I encourage those who listen to redefine the meaning of this album and make it their own soundtrack."
Find a comfortable spot in your mind and or physical world to prepare yourself for a short trip through the joyfully melancholic world of
