Season 3 is the long-awaited third album from the VCR universe. The winter-themed album tackles issues of isolation, identity, manic episodes, and depression through the rose-tinted lens of nostalgia. Reminiscing on old friends, good times, and wild times, many of the tracks come from an autobiographical writing style. Sonically, this is the band’s cleanest attempt towards recording and mixing, with lead vocals much more prominent in the mix, and each instrument having a large presence in the 3-piece ensemble; with Season 3, VCR tip their shades to the bands of the late 70s and 80s, and with a much bigger sound than their previous releases.
